Wisconsin Dells – A new resort, Dellshire Resort, is poised to open its doors in Wisconsin Dells by spring 2026, marking the first significant addition to the area’s resort offerings in decades. Construction for the ambitious project progressed recently with a topping-off ceremony, celebrating the completion of the building’s framework.

The Dellshire Resort is set to feature a total of 208 guest rooms, which includes nine luxurious suites. Families visiting the resort will enjoy a variety of amenities designed for both leisure and entertainment. The resort will boast six indoor and outdoor pools, ensuring that guests can take a dip regardless of the weather. A notable highlight of the resort will be a 60-foot fire-breathing dragon, adding a whimsical touch to the destination.

In addition to the pools and dragon, guests can look forward to an innovative augmented reality attraction that promises to enhance their experience. The development will also include a family entertainment center spanning 9,000 square feet, featuring amusement rides for children and adults alike. Furthermore, a tree canopy walk will offer stunning views of the surrounding area, providing a unique vantage point for visitors.

The construction site for the Dellshire Resort is located on a sprawling 48-acre lot at 2255-2325 Wisconsin Dells Parkway, strategically positioned in a region recognized as the “Waterpark Capital of the World.” This area attracts approximately 5.5 million visitors annually, offering a steady base of potential guests.

Leading the development is Uphoff Ventures based in Virginia, with project oversight provided by JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group, who are managing the construction financing. The financing for the resort has been secured through both a private lender and a commercial property assessed clean energy (C-PACE) lender.

The Dellshire Resort will include a four-story luxury-themed hotel, aiming to meet the demand for family-oriented accommodations in the region. In addition to the wide range of entertainment options, the resort will also feature two on-site restaurants with a combined seating capacity of 350, along with bars, retail shops, and a flexible meeting space for up to 280 guests.

As construction operations ramp up, they are being managed by Kraemer Brothers, a construction company based in Plain, Wisconsin. With an expected completion date in the second quarter of 2026, the resort aims to fill a significant market gap for family-oriented lodgings, catering to both leisure travelers and business groups.

The development of the Dellshire Resort is anticipated to not only attract a larger number of visitors to Wisconsin Dells but also to create job opportunities for local residents. Its close proximity to major cities like Chicago and Minneapolis further positions it as an attractive destination for tourists seeking a getaway.

The announcement of the Dellshire Resort is seen as a positive step towards further enriching Wisconsin Dells’ reputation as a premier family vacation destination, providing diverse accommodations and entertainment options for a wide range of visitors.
