Milwaukee – BizTimes Media has officially announced the winners of its 2025 Future 50 Awards, which honor the fastest-growing privately-held businesses in southeastern Wisconsin. This year’s winners will be celebrated at a special luncheon event taking place on September 19 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Italian Community Center in Milwaukee.

The Future 50 program, which first began in 1988, recognizes companies that have exhibited substantial growth in both employment and sales. The awards were put on hold for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but BizTimes Media has resumed its role in planning and executing the recognition event.

Companies vying for the Future 50 Award submitted their employment and revenue details for consideration, covering the period from 2022 to the present. To ensure accuracy, BizTimes verifies this information with each company’s accountant and banker. The winners are selected and ranked based on growth metrics, including employment and sales increases over the prior three years, as well as projected growth for the current year, while taking into account the size of each company.

Eligibility for the Future 50 Awards requires that businesses be headquartered in the nine-county southeastern Wisconsin area, remain privately owned, and demonstrate growth in both sales and employment during the specified evaluation period. Additionally, companies must have been in operation for at least three years. Those owned by private investment firms based in the region are also eligible for nomination.

The 2025 Future 50 Awards are sponsored by Old National Bank, with additional sponsorship support from R&R Insurance and Jet Out. The Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) serves as the event partner for this annual initiative, while The Bartolotta Restaurants is the venue partner for the awards luncheon.

Each Future 50 winner will receive a feature profile in BizTimes Milwaukee magazine, providing an opportunity for wider recognition of their achievements in the business community. For businesses that missed the initial application deadline, there is good news: the deadline for Future 50 consideration has been extended to June 11, 2025, ensuring more companies can potentially participate.

As the event approaches, anticipation builds within the local business community for the recognition of these successful enterprises that contribute significantly to the southeastern Wisconsin economy. The Future 50 Awards not only highlight individual business achievements but also serve as a benchmark of economic vitality in the region.

The awards luncheon on September 19 is expected to draw a wide audience, celebrating the innovation, growth, and resilience of the honored businesses. As the local economy continues to recover and grow, such recognitions shine a light on the entrepreneurial spirit that defines southeastern Wisconsin.

As the Future 50 winners gear up for this prestigious recognition, the event promises to be a vibrant celebration of growth and achievement within the local business landscape.
