ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos signed three players to their practice squad Tuesday as injuries thinned the backfield before this week’s road game at Carolina.
The additions are running back Jaret Patterson, defensive tackle Jordan Miller and defensive back Ugo Amadi. To make room, Denver let go of practice squad wide receivers Eli Pancol and Cam Ross.
Patterson and Miller worked out for the team Tuesday, along with defensive lineman Cam Rice, before they were signed. The only healthy backs left on the active roster are J.K. Dobbins and rookie Jonah Coleman, with RJ Harvey and Tyler Badie on injured reserve. Badie can return in Week 12 and Harvey in Week 13, and the Broncos are off in Week 10.
Patterson has played for the Commanders and Chargers. He ran 41 times for 159 yards and a touchdown in six games with the Chargers in 2025 and has 584 yards from scrimmage over his career.
Miller, a former SMU lineman, was on the Broncos practice squad in 2024 and 2025 and went through the 2026 offseason with Denver before joining Miami’s practice squad in September. He has not yet played in a regular-season game.
Amadi, a 2019 fourth-round pick of Seattle, has played in 85 career games and was on the Broncos practice squad in October.
Coleman ran and caught the ball for a career-best 104 yards and scored the winning touchdown in Denver’s Week 8 win over Kansas City. The Broncos open practice for the Panthers game on Wednesday.
